Whether you’re gathering information or have an established program with a team in need of refresh training, consider us your one-stop-shop for all things peer support. We have a 7-step process for starting, training and maintaining an exceptional peer support program.
- Why take one step when you can take three? START a sustainable program by investing in our web-based workshop: “Three Steps to Start Up: Policy, Protocols and Ethical Practice”. In this workshop, we provide live, interactive training sessions along with a detailed textbook and fillable templates to easily draft policy and standard operating procedures. Examples of templates: sample application, sample ethical agreement, guidance on mandatory reporting protocol, guidance on making a referral and more.
- Why buy more training than you need? Thankfully, there aren’t daily tragedies erupting in your organization. There are, however, people scattered throughout the organization that are increasingly frustrated, hurting and apathetic. We TRAIN peers to identify hurting people and provide the type of support that helps them hurt less. Our no-nonsense training prepares students to listen, assess and address a myriad of emotional concerns. In our 2-day basic course, for example, students learn (and practice) the “Top 5 Back Pocket Skills Every Helper Needs to be Helpful” – foundational and practical skills that can be applied at home and at work.
- Why not take advantage of free content? We love our Grads – and graduating from training is just the beginning. We help MAINTAIN your team by providing continued education and opportunities for development. Each quarter, we offer live, interactive webinars, coaching calls, mini refresh courses and more. Trained teams also get their own password-protected webpage with anytime-access to student text, slides, quick guides, videos and other materials referenced during training.
By investing in a support program, you are investing in your people. You are telling them that they matter – that they are worthy of attention and care. By becoming a trained peer, chaplain or lay-minister, you are choosing the heroic and humbling work of loving people during difficult times.
Research tells us that employees who feel cared for, loved and appreciated are more loyal, cooperative, energized, resilient, productive, timely, healthy and more. Dare to Care. Invest in Support. Let us help you help each other – all from our one-stop-shop.
