ABOUT CRISIS SUPPORT SOLUTIONS

Helping people
help people well.

Compassion brought us to this work. Capability keeps us accountable to it.

Crisis Support Solutions equips organizations and Helpers to build stronger systems of peer support and respond more effectively when people are hurting.

Our work brings together practical helping skills, evidence-informed training, program development, and decades of experience supporting people through stress, crisis, grief, and difficult life experiences.

BE COMPASSIONATE. BE CAPABLE.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND CSS

We’ve spent our careers caring for people who care for others.

Crisis Support Solutions grew from a simple conviction: caring people deserve more than good intentions. They deserve to be prepared.

Our backgrounds cross ministry, mental health, crisis response, peer support, program development, and education. Over the years, we have worked alongside people and organizations responding when life becomes difficult, overwhelming, or traumatic.

That experience shaped the way we think about helping. Compassion matters deeply—but compassion alone does not prepare someone for the moment another person says, “I don’t know what to do.”

Helpers need practical skills. They need frameworks that help them think when situations are complicated. They need opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and develop confidence before someone is depending on them.

WHY WE DO THIS WORK

Helping caring people become capable Helpers.

Because when someone is hurting, overwhelmed, or in crisis, the person who steps forward to help should be prepared for what happens next.

DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS. SHARED CONVICTION.

Be compassionate.
Be capable.

We believe effective helping requires both.

Compassion moves us toward people who are hurting. Capability helps us know what to do when we get there.

EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE WORK

Our training is shaped by more than theory.

CSS brings together experience in helping professions, organizational peer support, crisis response, education, and program development.

01

Mental Health & Crisis Response

Our work has been informed by years of supporting people navigating stress, grief, trauma, crisis, and difficult life experiences.

02

Peer Support Programs

We understand that effective peer support requires more than training. Leadership, policy, peer selection, coordination, boundaries, and ongoing development all matter.

03

Education & Skill Development

We design training around what people need to be able to understand, practice, and do—not simply the amount of information an instructor can cover.

04

Ministry & Human Care

Our backgrounds in ministry and helping professions continue to shape a deeply relational view of care—one that respects dignity, meaning, connection, and the whole person.
