TRAIN A TEAM
Train people
to help well.
Caring is essential. Capability is learned.
Crisis Support Solutions equips Helpers with practical, evidence-informed skills to recognize distress, respond with confidence, provide meaningful support, and connect people with additional care when needed.
WHY TRAINING MATTERS
Caring is important
but it's not enough.
Good intentions matter. Helping well requires skill.
When someone is angry, overwhelmed, grieving, or in crisis, the Helper needs a framework for how to connect and care effectively. Our 6-Part Protocol© gives Helpers a practical, repeatable way to do just that.
THE CSS APPROACH
Compassion + Capability.
We do not train Peers simply to know more. We train them to be more prepared to respond when someone needs them.
THE CSS DIFFERENCE
Training should change
what people can do.
We do not measure training by how much content we covered. We care about what the Helper can actually do when someone needs them.
That means training must move beyond information. Helpers need opportunities to see skills demonstrated, practice them, receive feedback, make adjustments, and apply what they are learning to real-world situations.
Understand
Learn the principles, boundaries, and practical framework behind effective support.
See It
Watch the skill modeled so the difference between knowing and doing becomes visible.
Practice It
Use guided exercises and realistic scenarios to turn concepts into usable behavior.
Get Feedback
Receive coaching, reflect on what worked, and adjust before the skill is needed for real.
Apply It
Leave with a practical framework that can be used in the complexity of real helping moments.
BE COMPASSIONATE. BE CAPABLE.
